You Are Not A Waste

Dear One,

I believe you

When you say

You feel like a waste,

But I’m afraid the

Record kept spinning

In your head skips

And makes it sound like

“You are a waste.”

Waste is the leftovers,

The discounts, the ruined products,

The rancid, aged-out, and

Done for.

You are not left over.

You are not discounted.

You are not ruined or rancid.

You are not too old.

And you are not done.

Dear One, let your heart skip a beat,

Because you are NOT a waste.
